In November 1977 a modest courier company named Schaeffer Delivery was launched. The company handled small deliveries in the Dallas Metroplex and built a loyal customer base founded on trust and dependability. Even though the courier business was a great success, Jay Schaeffer had a vision for the future of his company.
After 13 years, Schaeffer Delivery evolved into A Truck Express Inc. The company quickly built and established a unique reputation, specializing in the handling of local hotshot bobtail and tractor-trailer deliveries in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.
Today, A Truck Express has grown into the largest, locally-owned, expedited freight company in the DFW Metroplex. We are proud to boast a wonderful team of individuals who are dynamic, energetic and experienced professionals that offer our clients over 100 years of combined experience in the transportation industry.
Our customer base ranges from small "mom and pop" companies that have been with our service for over three decades, to Fortune 100 companies servicing a variety of industries.
We have received many accolades/awards and were recently named to the Dallas Business Journal's list of "Largest Trucking Companies in North Texas".
